Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Puratchi Thalaivi Jayalalithaa passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, Tamil TV channels reported on Monday evening. And also some leading national news channels online sites also reported the same. Violence broke out at Apollo hospital as soon as the news started to coming out. But Jayalalitha’s own channel and Appolo hospital denied the news.
The Rajbhavan has also not announced the death officially. And once the news came out party flag was laying at half-mast at the AIADMK party office. But later they again raised the flag to the top mast. The chief minister, who has been in Apollo since September 22, had suffered the cardiac arrest on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile AIADMK party MLAs call for an immediate meet at 7 pm. And as per the reports from the AIADMK the party meeting may chose Paneer Selvam as Jayalalitha’s successor. And about the health condition of Jayalalitha, Appolo hospital officials are telling that they are trying the best to save Amma’s life.
